Reflections of April and December: Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung’s Passing (Excerpt 11)
At her funeral I climbed up here and there and took photos. Lots of yellow roses opposed to white roses, which were each star’s preference in life. The police numbers were double the last time. They had hired security and better crowd control. There were special crews in special white jackets to help dispose of the flowers and there to help the mourners. The turnout was expected, this time those organizing knew what to do. There were stop breaks, they segmented the crowd. People were not all cramped into a small space without movement for hours upon hours.
