ABOUT GLUTTER

Glutter is mixture of glitter and gutter. I put the two words together to describe Hong Kong.

The original Glutter began in 2003 and was active until 2007. Its topics ranged from personal musings to Chinese politics; focusing on internet freedom and the Hong Kong democratic movement.

In 2004 it was banned in China, and in 2005, Reporters Without Borders nominated her and the blog for a free speech award.

The archive of the original blog is here.

Between 2003 to 2007 Glutter was one of the most widely read English blogs in Hong Kong with both a local and an international audience. The site was banned in China in 2004, and was nominated for a free speech award by Reporters Without Borders in 2005.
