For years, I had imagined having a food blog, but I found cooking every day, writing a novel, looking after my son, and reporting the daily activities in my kitchen to be utterly impossible.
But then I figured out, what I could do would be create my own interesting recipes once in a while and post them. The food would be inspired by places I have been, people I have met, and the friends I have convinced to teach me to cook the food of their cultures and families: a fusion of all I have come across, with the hope that it would create something new. To me that fearlessness to mix everything up is so very Californian, and so Angeleno, hence the food I make could be nothing other than Modern Californian Cuisine.
So here is my blog.
Maybe I can tell you a story through a dish or two.
